I absolutely love what I do — especially when it brings me into rooms full of interesting people and great conversations.
This week, I had the pleasure of being a panelist on the RTE Today Show, where we discussed a powerful article by Ciara Dwyer (Irish Independent), featuring Professor Ian Robertson. It explored how to keep our brains sharp as we age — through staying socially connected, physically active, eating well, and never underestimating the power of learning something new.
Professor Robertson’s advice really resonated with me. We often hear how important it is to care for our bodies as we get older, but we don’t talk enough about caring for our brains. His point about staying engaged after retirement struck a chord — maybe it’s not about winding down, but about staying active, curious, and connected in new ways.
One of the highlights of being on the show? The behind-the-scenes chats with Claire, Katie, and Liz. I love hearing people’s stories — what brought them to their work, what lights them up, and what keeps them going.
What do you love most about your job?
Is it the people? The purpose? The problem-solving?
I’d love to hear ![]()
