Talking about disability in school | Physical Awareness | Sinead Kane
In this video, Sinead from www.sineadkane.ie discusses talking about disability in the classroom. Sinead has a disability. She was born with just 5% vision. All of her life she has dealt with disability. In this video a child explains to her peers that she has a disability. Talking about disability to children is very important, it educates them. It’s vital to know that people with disabilities can do the same things they can do. But it might need adapting and that is ok. The more children learn about disability, the more they understand the world around them. By explaining all about disability to your child, you are widening their knowledge, you are informing them that we are all different, no one is the same.
