Decision-making can be hard. Spending time at the beach can help with relaxation. I have been spending a lot of time at the beach lately. Decisions revolve around whether to stay in running. Disability advocacy can be best achieved through actions. I have tried, over a number of years, by competing in able-bodied ultrarunning to highlight disability in sport. There have been many highs and many lows. It can be hard to continually try to be accepted in the running community. I am different because of using guide running. Jokes about guide runners can be offensive, hurtful and upsetting. Yet, passed off as nothing. Bystanders stand by and are active participants and add to the problem. It takes a lot of effort to compete at able-bodied ultrarunning. A lot more physical and mental energy than people will ever see. Wondering whether to continue running anymore.
Thank you to Chris from COJO Films for making this video yesterday.
Filming continues for the documentary.
